The Georgia Bulldogs have made a significant addition to their roster for the upcoming 2024 season, securing the commitment of former Florida running back Trevor Etienne. The younger brother of the Jacksonville Jaguars' Travis Etienne, Trevor brings valuable experience and talent to the Bulldogs' running back depth.

During his sophomore season with the Gators, the 5-foot-9, 205-pound Etienne showcased his skills by rushing for 753 yards and scoring 8 touchdowns on 131 carries. His impressive performance made him the second-leading rusher for Florida, following Montrell Johnson in both carries and yards.

Etienne consistently delivered strong performances throughout the season, recording at least 5.0 yards per carry in eight games. In the Gators' final four games, he amassed at least 80 rushing yards on three separate occasions, demonstrating his ability to make an impact in crucial matchups.

Hailing from Jennings, Louisiana, Etienne made a name for himself during his freshman year at Florida. He rushed for 719 yards and 6 touchdowns on 118 carries in 2022, surpassing the 100-yard mark against both South Carolina and Florida State. Notably, Etienne had a standout game against the Gamecocks, rushing for 100 yards and scoring 1 touchdown on just 8 carries.

Throughout his tenure at Florida, Etienne accumulated 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns on 249 carries, while also contributing as a receiver with 30 catches for 238 yards and another score. With two years of eligibility remaining, his addition to the Bulldogs' roster provides depth and a proven SEC talent at the running back position.

Georgia's acquisition of Etienne is part of their wider recruitment strategy, which includes the recent additions of transfer wide receivers London Humphreys from Vanderbilt and Colbie Young from Miami, as well as the defensive tackle transfer Xzavier McLeod from South Carolina.

The Bulldogs' commitment to strengthening their roster demonstrates their determination to compete at the highest level in the upcoming season. With the addition of talents like Trevor Etienne, Georgia aims to cement its status as a formidable force in college football.
