MIAMI GARDENS - Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane suffered a knee injury in Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Hard Rock Stadium. Achane, who was just activated off injured reserve for a knee injury the day prior, had missed the previous four games due to the ailment.

Although it remains unclear whether the injury is to the same knee, Achane's status for the remainder of the game is now questionable, as announced by the team.

The rookie phenom started the game and received the offense's first carry, gaining a mere yard. Later in the first quarter, he made a 4-yard reception but was seen limping slightly towards the sideline.

Achane initially stood on the sideline for the rest of the drive, which ended with a touchdown pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to wide receiver Tyreek Hill. However, he eventually entered the blue medical tent on the Dolphins' sideline.

In the second quarter, wide receiver Tyreek Hill also encountered an injury scare. After being tackled during a Miami fourth-and-1 near the goal line, Hill walked into the locker room accompanied by a trainer, clutching at his hand.

Despite the concern, Hill swiftly returned to the Miami sideline wearing his helmet. The team announced that he was questionable to return due to a hand injury, but he was back in action during the following offensive series.

The Dolphins faced additional roster challenges for their game against the Raiders. Wide receiver Braxton Berrios and tight end Durham Smythe were both inactive due to their respective injuries. Berrios was hampered by a hamstring injury, while Smythe was dealing with an ankle ailment.

Running back Jeff Wilson Jr. was a healthy scratch for the Dolphins, and fullback Alec Ingold was active despite entering the game with a foot injury.

Offensive linemen Robert Hunt and Robert Jones, along with wide receiver Chase Claypool, were ruled out earlier in the week. However, quarterback Skylar Thompson was available as an emergency third quarterback.

Despite the injuries and the lineup changes, the Dolphins managed to field a competitive team. The return of Achane from injured reserve was expected to bolster the offense, but unfortunately, he was unable to complete the game.

Tight end became a position of concern due to Smythe's absence, leaving the Dolphins with rookie Julian Hill and Tyler Kroft as their remaining options. Hill was given the start against the Raiders.

The offensive line was also affected by injuries, with Hunt and Jones both sidelined. Miami opted to start Liam Eichenberg at right guard and Lester Cotton at left guard. This marked the sixth different starting combination on the offensive line for the Dolphins this season, and Eichenberg has now started at all five O-line positions in his third NFL season.

With Berrios out, the Dolphins were also without their starting kick and punt returner. Nonetheless, the team still had Achane, Raheem Mostert, and Salvon Ahmed in the backfield, supported by fullback Ingold.

As for the Raiders, they were without their starting left tackle, Kolton Miller, who was listed as questionable. Jermaine Eluemunor took his place, while Thayer Munford started at right tackle. Left guard Dylan Parham was active despite being questionable. Defensive tackle Nesta Jade Silvera, who played for American Heritage in high school and the Miami Hurricanes in college, was a healthy scratch.

Despite losing two out of their last three games before the bye week, the Dolphins currently hold the top position in the AFC East.
