In a setback for the Dallas Cowboys, defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins will be sidelined for an undisclosed period of time due to a knee and ankle injury sustained during Sunday's victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Hankins is the only player who has been ruled out for Sunday's upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills.

However, the Cowboys are facing another challenge as an illness has spread throughout their team. Six players have been tagged as questionable due to the illness that has affected the team at The Star.

Linebacker Micah Parsons, who played through the illness on Sunday, is no longer listed on the injury report. However, wide receiver Brandin Cooks, cornerback Stephon Gilmore, and wide receiver Jalen Tolbert are all labeled as questionable for the upcoming game due to the illness.

Gilmore did not participate in any practice sessions throughout the week, signaling potential concerns regarding his availability. Cooks, on the other hand, had a limited practice on Wednesday but has been absent from the past two days of practice. Tolbert also missed Thursday's session but made a limited return on Friday.

In addition to the illness, the Cowboys have three more players listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Defensive end Viliami Fehoko, safety Malik Hooker, and offensive tackle Matt Waletzko have been dealing with knee, ankle, and shoulder injuries respectively. Fehoko and Waletzko have been on the injured reserve, but they are expected to make a return as they have participated fully in practice throughout the week.

Hooker missed practice both on Wednesday and Thursday, raising concerns about his availability. However, he returned to limited practice on Friday, indicating a possibility of being able to play on Sunday.

The Cowboys will face a tough challenge in Buffalo with several key players either ruled out or battling through illness and injuries. Coach Mike McCarthy and the team's medical staff will closely monitor the situation, making final decisions on player availability before kickoff.
