The Kansas City Chiefs have received a boost to their receiving corps as they prepare to take on the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. The team announced that they have activated Mecole Hardman off of injured reserve and have cleared him to play in Week 17.

Hardman, who had been sidelined with a thumb injury, has missed the last five games. Since returning to the Chiefs from the Jets earlier this season, he has made appearances in four games, catching eight passes for 41 yards. With injuries to Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney, Hardman's return to the lineup could prove crucial in Kansas City's offensive strategy against the Bengals.

In order to make room for Hardman on the roster, the Chiefs have decided to waive defensive tackle Matt Dickerson from the 53-man roster. This move is aimed at further strengthening the Chiefs' offensive options and prioritizing their receiving depth.

In addition to Hardman's return, the Chiefs have also made a couple of moves from the practice squad. Running back Keaontay Ingram and defensive tackle Mike Pennell have been elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game. These changes come as running backs Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire remain questionable due to a concussion/shoulder injury and an illness respectively. With Jerick McKinnon already on injured reserve, the elevation of Ingram and Pennell will provide the Chiefs with added depth in their running game.

The activation of Mecole Hardman and the corresponding roster moves demonstrate the Chiefs' commitment to fielding a strong and well-rounded squad. With the Bengals standing in the way of their playoff aspirations, the Chiefs will be looking to make the most of their strengthened roster and secure a crucial victory on Sunday.
