In their continued search for a General Manager and head coach, the Los Angeles Chargers have recently interviewed Jeff Ireland, the assistant G.M. and college scouting director for the New Orleans Saints. The interview was completed on Wednesday, as announced by the Chargers.

Jeff Ireland, 53, has an impressive background in football management. He joined the Saints organization in 2015, following a year as a draft consultant for the Seattle Seahawks. Prior to that, Ireland served as the General Manager of the Miami Dolphins from 2008 to 2013.

This interview marks the Chargers' sixth interview for their General Manager vacancy, which also included interim G.M. JoJo Wooden. While there have been rumors linking the Chargers to University of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, there is currently no indication of an imminent hiring for either the head coach or General Manager position.

The Chargers are determined to find the right candidates who will guide the team towards success in the future. As the search continues, fans and experts eagerly await further developments to see who will eventually be chosen to lead the team.

The Chargers' parallel searches for a General Manager and head coach highlight the importance they place on finding the right leadership to steer the franchise going forward. With the wealth of experience and proven track record that Jeff Ireland brings to the table, it will be interesting to see if he emerges as a frontrunner for the General Manager role in the coming days.
