Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ceedee Lamb is on the verge of making NFL history with a potentially record-breaking performance against the New York Giants on Sunday. In order to achieve this milestone, Lamb will have to deliver an outstanding performance, grabbing at least 10 passes and racking up over 150 receiving yards for the third consecutive game.

Lamb's recent displays on the field have placed him in contention to make history. In a Week 8 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, the 24-year-old star caught an impressive 12 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns. This stellar performance not only helped secure a win for the Cowboys but also made Lamb the first player in Cowboys history to achieve at least 10 receptions, 150 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in a single game.

Week 9 proved even more remarkable for Lamb as his exceptional efforts were witnessed during a closely fought battle with the Philadelphia Eagles, resulting in a 28-23 loss for the Cowboys. Despite the defeat, Lamb's individual performance stood out, as he hauled in 11 passes for a remarkable 191 yards. This noteworthy achievement marked Lamb's third career game with at least 10 receptions and 150 receiving yards, tying him with Michael Irvin for the most in franchise history.

Building upon his recent accomplishments, Lamb now possesses a chance to etch his name in NFL history. To date, only a handful of players have even come close to achieving Lamb's potential feat. Over the past 25 years, only three players - Brandon Marshall in 2012, Keenan Allen in 2017, and Mike Evans in 2019 - have managed to secure at least 10 catches and 150 receiving yards in two consecutive games. However, none of them were able to extend their impressive streak to three games.

Marshall fell short with just six catches for 56 yards, while Allen, in 2017, came agonizingly close to the record, amassing 10 receptions but falling short of the 150-yard mark in the third game with 105 yards. Evans' opportunity slipped away as well, with him recording only four catches for 82 yards in his third game of the streak.

While the NFL is currently blessed with several prolific receivers, Lamb stands out as the sole player to have achieved back-to-back games with at least 10 receptions and 150 receiving yards. If he can manage another outstanding performance against the Giants, Lamb will solidify his place in NFL history.

Lamb's impressive production comes a mere five weeks after he publically criticized the Cowboys' lack of offensive identity following a disheartening 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. However, the team has since found its offensive rhythm, with Lamb becoming a focal point of their aerial assault.

Despite the Cowboys being heavy favorites by 17 points this week, Lamb faces a challenging task in putting up significant numbers. The Giants, though struggling this season, boast a robust pass defense, ranking 11th in the league by allowing only 211.6 passing yards per game.

As the anticipation builds, NFL fans eagerly await Lamb's upcoming performance. If the young wide receiver can deliver yet another extraordinary game, his name will forever be etched in the annals of NFL history.
