**Green Bay Packers Expand Coaching Roster with 15 New Hires**

The Green Bay Packers have strengthened their coaching staff with the addition of 15 new members who came on board in May and June. This initiative is part of the NFL's Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program, according to an announcement made by Head Coach Matt LaFleur on Wednesday.

The defensive side of the team will benefit from the expertise of former Packers safeties Morgan Burnett, who now coaches at Walton High School, and Nick Collins, from Bethune-Cookman. They are joined by ex-NFL defensive lineman Jason Hatcher, who previously played for Dallas and Washington, Asa Jackson from Cal Poly, Josh Jones of the San Antonio Brahmas (UFL), Larry Knight from Arkansas State, and Shea Pitts from UCLA. Pitts comes from a legacy of Packers players—his father, Ron, and grandfather, Elijah, both having worn the Green Bay uniform.

On the offensive front, the new hires include Ryan Alexander from LSU, Jeff Beckles, Mike Brown from Notre Dame, Caleb Moore from Arizona, and Grant Newsome from Michigan. Enhancing the strength and conditioning staff are Ike Brown also from LSU, Leo Liu from Washington University in St. Louis, and Gary Wilkins.

Among the new recruits, Moore, Ike, and Mike Brown have previously participated in the Packers' Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program. This initiative has proved successful, with Green Bay hiring four previous Bill Walsh interns into full-time coaching roles over the past two seasons. These full-time hires include Anthony Perkins, Myles White, Cory Harkey, and Jeremiah Kolone.

The Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship aims to diversify the NFL's coaching ranks by offering minority coaches the chance to gain invaluable experience. Through participation in offseason workouts and minicamps, the program seeks to provide a pathway to secure full-time coaching positions within the NFL.
