Kate Gosselin, the former reality TV star known for her hit show Jon and Kate Plus 8, is now living alone in her Troutman, North Carolina home after her four remaining children moved out and left for college, according to a new report by Yahoo Entertainment.

The sextuplets who remained in her care - Aaden, Alexis, Leah, and Joel, all 19 - have now embarked on their own journeys. Collin, one of the sextuplets, has enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. after graduating from high school, while Hannah is pursuing a business major at the University of Miami. Meanwhile, twins Mady and Cara, aged 23, have graduated from Syracuse University and Fordham University respectively in 2023 and have secured jobs in New York City.

Kate and her children resided in a one-story waterfront property in Troutman, which she purchased in April 2018. The spacious home boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a private pier, a boat dock, a pool, a hot tub, and an extended garage, providing Kate with plenty of extra room now that her children have moved out.

Financially, Kate has faced hardships since leaving reality TV. It is uncertain if she returned to nursing, despite obtaining a "multi-state" nursing license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing on June 30, 2021. Reports suggest that she has been living paycheck to paycheck and even admitted to borrowing $100,000 from her kids' trust funds just to make ends meet.

Once a prominent figure in reality TV, Kate's life has taken a different turn. She no longer has a glam squad, and locals sometimes recognize her at the market, but not always with positivity. Kate continues to receive hate from people and is no longer enjoying the ease she once had.

In recent years, Kate has made appearances on various reality shows, including the first season of Fox's reality series Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. However, her stint was short-lived, as she collapsed during a two-mile run and injured her neck after jumping out of a helicopter into the ocean. Despite her desire to stay on the show, she was taken away in an ambulance.

Similarly, her show Kate Plus Date, where her daughters played matchmakers, only lasted one season on TLC in 2019. Her heyday on Jon and Kate Plus 8, which aired from 2007 to 2009, and later renamed Kate Plus 8 after her divorce from Jon Gosselin, has become a distant memory.

The U.S. Sun was the first to report on Kate Gosselin living alone in North Carolina, marking a new chapter in her life as she adjusts to an empty nest.
