Former NFL MVP Cam Newton sparked headlines over the weekend as a video of him engaged in a brawl during a 7-on-7 football event in Atlanta surfaced on social media. The altercation took place at the "We Ball Sports" tournament, where Newton's "C1N" 7v7 team was participating. The scuffle involved Newton and several individuals allegedly from Top Shelf Performance, with the incident starting under a pop-up tent at the field before escalating towards a fence.

In the video, a man in a white T-shirt can be seen throwing a punch, though thankfully, there were no reports of severe injuries. Security personnel were required to intervene and disperse the situation as tensions flared. The brawl may have been linked to a previous video where Newton offered to pay every player on the team that defeated his "C1N" teams in the tournament.

Top Shelf Performance's general manager, Steph Brown, posted on Instagram, challenging Newton to settle the wager, while also tagging C1N's team account. Notably, TopShelf Performance triumphed over Newton's 18U C1N Platinum squad on the tournament's opening day. Despite the incident, both Brown and TSP CEO TJ Brown did not immediately respond to requests for comments, and neither did Newton's "C1N" team when approached by Fox News Digital.

As the news of the altercation continues to circulate, fans and analysts are left wondering about the circumstances leading up to the brawl. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
