Meanwhile, the Eagles find themselves in an intriguing position. Last year, they drafted Jamie McKee, a promising sixth-round pick out of Stanford, who showed great potential during his rookie training camp. Despite not seeing any game action last season and being relegated to emergency quarterback duties, McKee has shown promise.

Having a capable and affordable backup quarterback for three seasons is an appealing prospect for the Eagles, considering the value they place on the backup QB spot. In recent years, the team has relied on veteran quarterbacks to fulfill this role. In 2021, it was Joe Flacco and Gardner Minshew, followed by Minshew alone in 2022, and finally Marcus Mariota in 2023.
