The NFL's legal tampering period has brought some clarity to the game of quarterback musical chairs, with several notable moves already made. However, one player still waiting for his future to unfold is former first-round pick Justin Fields. As potential landing spots dwindle, let's explore the remaining options for Fields in the NFL.

One team that could be in the mix for Fields is the New York Giants. Despite signing Daniel Jones to a new contract last year, the Giants find themselves in a tricky spot at the quarterback position. Jones struggled in the previous season due to injuries, leaving the door open for Fields to potentially compete with him or even take over as the starter.

Another possibility for Fields is the New England Patriots. With Mac Jones set to join the AFC South, the Patriots are firmly in the market for a quarterback. While they have been linked with various quarterbacks in the draft class, acquiring Fields through a trade and using their third-overall pick on another talented player could revitalize their offense.

The Denver Broncos, who have a need at the quarterback position with Russell Wilson heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers, could also be a potential destination for Fields. Sitting at No. 12 in the upcoming draft, the Broncos may consider Fields as a long-term option or explore what head coach Sean Payton can do with him for a year or two, despite potential concerns about the scheme fit.

As the market seems to slow down for Fields, there is a possibility that he could find a landing spot as an upper-level backup rather than a starter. The Philadelphia Eagles, known for their "QB factory" mentality, could be an intriguing option, given their need for a backup quarterback and the similarity of their offensive system to the one designed for Jalen Hurts.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay's history of working wonders with new quarterbacks makes the team a potential landing spot for Fields. With Matthew Stafford firmly entrenched as the starter, Fields could benefit from McVay's coaching if given the opportunity.

Fields could also find a place with the Indianapolis Colts, as there is an opening behind starter Anthony Richardson. Fields would fit well into the offensive strategies implemented by coach Shane Steichen and provide insurance should Richardson suffer an injury.

Lastly, there is a pre-existing relationship between Fields and San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, as both are part of the "QB Collective." If the 49ers feel the need to solidify their quarterback depth behind Brock Purdy, Fields could be an intriguing option.

As the music slows down in the quarterback carousel, the options for Justin Fields appear to be limited. Whether he lands as a starter, a backup, or somewhere in between, it's clear that Fields has the talent and potential to make an impact in the NFL. Only time will tell where he will ultimately end up.
