In a surprising move, kicker Greg Joseph is making a switch in one of the NFL's most intense rivalries. Agent Brett Tessler recently announced that Joseph has agreed to sign a contract with the Green Bay Packers, leaving behind his tenure with the Minnesota Vikings. The terms of the deal between Joseph and the Packers have not been disclosed.

During his three seasons with the Vikings, Joseph showcased his skills by successfully converting 83 out of 101 field goals. Furthermore, he holds the franchise record for the longest field goal, an impressive 61-yard kick achieved in 2022. Additionally, Joseph boasts a solid record of converting 112 out of 124 extra points during his time in Minnesota.

The Packers already have 2023 sixth-rounder Anders Carlson on their roster as another kicking option. In addition, they have secured Jack Podlesny under contract. With the arrival of Joseph, the Packers' kicking department is set to become even more competitive.

The decision to switch teams in such a fierce rivalry has undoubtedly generated intrigue among football fans. Joseph's departure from the Vikings and arrival with the Packers adds an extra layer of excitement to future matchups between the two franchises. It remains to be seen how Joseph's inclusion in the Packers' roster will impact their kicking strategy and overall performance, but it is clear that the team is bolstering its kicking options.
