Former Bills Defensive Back Siran Neal Joins the Dolphins

In a surprising move, the Miami Dolphins have added another former Buffalo Bills defensive back to their roster. According to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, Siran Neal has agreed to terms with the Dolphins.

Neal, who was a fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, has spent his entire career with the Bills. During his time in Buffalo, he primarily made his impact on special teams, playing a significant role on the unit. In the 2022 season, Neal saw action in 77 percent of the special teams snaps, and this number increased to 80 percent in 2023.

On the defensive side of the ball, Neal had limited playing time, seeing action in only six percent of snaps in 2022 and four percent in 2023. Despite the limited opportunities, Neal managed to record a total of 13 tackles during the last season.

This news comes shortly after the Dolphins signed another former Bills defensive back, Jordan Poyer, to a one-year deal earlier this week. Poyer's addition, along with Neal's, adds depth and experience to the Dolphins' secondary.

As the Dolphins continue to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season, the addition of Siran Neal provides them with a versatile player who can contribute on special teams and provide depth in the secondary. With the combination of Neal and Poyer, the Dolphins' defense is poised to make an impact in the upcoming season.

It will be interesting to see how both former Bills defensive backs transition to their new team and make an impact in Miami. With the offseason in full swing, the Dolphins are making moves to solidify their roster as they aim to compete in the highly competitive AFC East division.
