Cornerback Cooper DeJean has been medically cleared to resume training after fracturing his fibula while playing for Iowa in November. He announced his health progress to reporters in Indianapolis, stating that although he will not participate in drills at the Scouting Combine, his health is improving. DeJean, who had a standout final collegiate season with the Hawkeyes, will not partake in Iowa's Pro Day but is planning to hold a workout ahead of the NFL draft in April.

During his time with the Hawkeyes, DeJean excelled in multiple roles, scoring three interception touchdowns in the 2022 season along with a punt return for a touchdown in 2023 before sustaining his injury. While he won't be demonstrating his skills at the Combine, DeJean is currently meeting with NFL teams, discussing his potential position on the field. He expressed comfort in playing various roles, emphasizing his versatility as a strength that should contribute positively to his draft stock as teams prepare their final boards in the upcoming weeks.
