In a nightly video address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled a Russian assault on the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. He engaged in conversations with several Heads of State and Government, including Georgia, Canada, the Republic of Korea, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Malawi, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Sweden, and Liberia. Additionally, he held a discussion with the U.S. Secretary of State, emphasizing the collective effort to attain a just peace for Ukraine and hold Russia accountable for its actions.

As the preparations for the Peace Summit continue, President Zelensky expressed confidence in creating a platform that will force Russia towards a peaceful resolution and prevent deception.
