Former President Donald Trump has stirred controversy once again, this time turning his attention to New Hampshire in an attempt to diminish its standing as a battleground state. In an internal message to Trump volunteers, a top campaign volunteer, Tom Mountain, stated that the campaign no longer considers New Hampshire a battleground state, leading to his departure from the campaign. Trump, however, didn't miss the opportunity to attack Vice President Kamala Harris over her absence during the state's primary, despite her recent nomination.

Trump took to Truth Social on Tuesday to proclaim that New Hampshire had been "disrespected" due to Harris' lack of participation in the primary. He accused Harris of recognizing problems within her own campaign in the state. It should be noted that Harris is scheduled to visit New Hampshire on Wednesday, contradicting Trump's claim of negligence.

In his post, Trump also highlighted various issues faced by the residents of New Hampshire, including soaring living costs, high energy bills, and an unaffordable housing market. While a recent University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll showed Harris leading Trump by a five-point margin in the state, Trump remained undeterred, maintaining his focus on New Hampshire's concerns.

"I protected New Hampshire's First-In-The-Nation Primary and ALWAYS will!" he declared. "To my friends in New Hampshire, get out and vote TRUMP. Together, we will make your State and America Strong, Safe, and Prosperous AGAIN!"

While internal conflicts within the Trump campaign led to the declaration that New Hampshire is no longer a battleground state, it remains to be seen how Trump's remarks and accusations against Vice President Harris will influence the upcoming election. As the political landscape continues to evolve, it is clear that New Hampshire will still play a role in shaping the political future of the United States.
