In a shocking incident, a woman working at a Wells Fargo branch in Tempe, Arizona, was found dead at her desk four days after her passing, according to local police reports. The tragic incident occurred on August 16, when Denise Prudhomme, 60, arrived at the bank office for her shift. It was not until August 20 that security personnel stumbled upon her lifeless body on the third floor of the building.

Authorities were called to the scene, and despite their immediate response, Prudhomme was declared dead at 4.55pm. The Office of Medical Examiner in Tempe has yet to determine the exact cause of her death. Preliminary investigations, however, have revealed no evidence of foul play contributing to her passing. Police have stated that their investigation will continue, including interviews with other employees at the bank location.

It was reported that employees at the bank grew concerned when they noticed a foul odor permeating the building. Initially, they suspected a plumbing issue, according to an anonymous employee cited by KPNX. Prudhomme's cubicle, situated away from the main aisle on the third floor, likely contributed to the delay in her discovery.

The news of Prudhomme's body remaining unnoticed for days has deeply affected her colleagues, with one employee expressing their disgust and sorrow. They lamented the thought of their coworker spending her final moments alone at her desk, stating, "To hear she's been sitting at the desk like that would make me feel sick. And nobody did anything. That's how she spent her last moments."

Several employees criticized the delay in finding Prudhomme, considering it as an act of "negligence" by the building's security. Wells Fargo issued a statement expressing their condolences over the loss, stating, "Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time." The company further assured that counselors from their Employee Assistance Consulting service were available to support their employees. They also pledged full cooperation with the ongoing investigation by the Tempe Police Department.

This tragic incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of workplace safety and awareness. The loss of Denise Prudhomme has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on her coworkers and loved ones, urging organizations to prioritize regular checks and protocols to ensure the well-being of their employees.
