### Teen Charged with Ricin Production and Terror Offenses Following Fatal Stabbing Spree
An 18-year-old teenager, Axel Rudakubana, allegedly responsible for a deadly stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in England, now faces additional serious charges. Merseyside Police announced on Tuesday that Rudakubana has been charged with producing ricin, a lethal poison, and possessing a jihadi training manual.
The stabbing incident in July resulted in the tragic deaths of three young girls—Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Bebe King, 6—in Southport, a seaside town in northwest England. Along with the murder charges, Rudakubana is also accused of attempting to murder ten others, including eight children and two adults.
Upon searching Rudakubana's residence, police uncovered the biological toxin ricin, which is banned under UK laws prohibiting biological weapons. Additionally, authorities found a computer file on an Al-Qaida training manual titled "Military Studies in the Jihad Against the Tyrants: The Al-Qaeda Training Manual." This discovery has led to a terror offense charge under UK terrorism laws, which restrict possession of materials useful for committing or preparing terrorist acts.
The violence sparked by the attack extended beyond Southport, causing a week-long wave of rioting across England and Northern Ireland. The newly unveiled charges against Rudakubana deepen the severity of the case as the community and authorities seek justice for the victims and those affected by the tragic events.
