### Tragic Loss of Jonathan Joss: Beloved 'King of the Hill' Voice Actor Killed in San Antonio

In an unfortunate turn of events, Jonathan Joss, widely recognized for his voice role as John Redcorn on the acclaimed Fox animated series "King of the Hill," tragically lost his life in a shooting incident on Sunday. Joss, aged 59, was found shot near a roadway in San Antonio, with police arriving at the scene after a report of an active shooting. Despite life-saving attempts by the officers, paramedics declared Joss dead.

The authorities have apprehended a suspect, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, 56, who has been booked on murder charges. While the investigation continues, this untimely death has sent shockwaves through Joss’s fanbase and the broader entertainment community.

Jonathan Joss left an indelible mark on "King of the Hill," voicing John Redcorn in 34 episodes, as well as contributing his voice to an upcoming revival of the show. Beyond this, his talents graced several popular video game titles, including "Red Dead Redemption," "The Walking Dead: Michonne," "Days Gone," "Cyberpunk 2077," and "Wasteland 3."

Series creators Mike Judge, Greg Daniels, and Saladin Patterson expressed their sorrow in a joint statement: “Jonathan Joss brought King of the Hill's 'John Redcorn' to life for over a dozen seasons, including in the upcoming revival. His voice will be missed at King of the Hill, and we extend our deepest condolences to Jonathan's friends and family.”

In a poignant Facebook post, Joss's husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, shared emotionally charged details leading up to the tragic event. Gonzales revealed that the couple had been subjected to ongoing, openly homophobic threats for over two years, culminating in their house being burnt down. The threats and harassment they faced from neighbors had been reported to law enforcement multiple times, though no protective actions were taken.

Reflecting on the tragic night, Gonzales recounted how they found the remains of one of their dogs at their former property, which brought them immense grief. As they mourned, a man approached, shouted homophobic slurs, and then opened fire. Joss heroically pushed Gonzales out of harm's way, ultimately sacrificing his own life.

Newly married and deeply in love, Gonzales described Joss as a loving partner who had immense plans for the future. The couple, who chose Valentine's Day for their wedding, was in the midst of planning a move and envisioned many joyful years ahead. Gonzales pledged to uphold Joss's legacy and advocate against the injustices they endured.

Support has been pouring in since the news broke, with many offering to assist with the expenses for a celebration of life. However, Gonzales has urged people not to donate to a GoFundMe, instead requesting that they spread awareness of the discrimination and harassment they faced.

Joss's legacy will endure through his substantial body of work and the love he left behind, serving as a testament to his talent and the profound impact he had on those around him.
