Joint US-Iraqi Raid Kills 15 ISIS Operatives in Western Iraq

In a successful joint operation, the US military and Iraqi Security Forces have dealt a major blow to ISIS, killing 15 of its operatives in Western Iraq. The raid, carried out on Thursday, targeted the leadership of the militant group, according to officials.

Armed with numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive "suicide" belts, the ISIS members posed a significant threat. However, the combined forces of US and Iraqi troops executed the raid swiftly and effectively, neutralizing the operatives and ensuring no harm came to any civilians.

During the operation, seven American troops sustained injuries, but they have been reported to be in stable condition. Two soldiers were wounded during the raid, while two others suffered injuries from falls encountered during the operation. A member of the team who suffered a fall was evacuated from the area, while another received further treatment elsewhere.

The US Central Command emphasized that the objective of the raid was to disrupt and impair ISIS's ability to plan and carry out attacks, not only against Iraqi civilians but also against US citizens, allies, and partners. The military asserted that ISIS remains a persistent threat to the region and the homeland.

The Iraqi military also confirmed the success of the joint operation, stating that airstrikes were conducted to target ISIS hideouts followed by a bold airborne operation. These strikes resulted in the destruction of all hideouts, weapons, and logistical support, while explosive belts were safely detonated. Additionally, important documents, identification papers, and communication devices were seized, leading to the elimination of key ISIS leaders.

Although the identities of the slain ISIS leaders have not been disclosed, their elimination represents a significant blow to the group's hierarchy and operational capabilities. With their leadership disrupted, the joint US-Iraqi raid has dealt a severe setback to ISIS's ability to carry out coordinated attacks.

This operation serves as a testament to the successful partnership between the US military and Iraqi Security Forces in the ongoing fight against ISIS. By working together, they continue to demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding the region, protecting innocent lives, and ensuring the security of their respective nations.

The eradication of ISIS remains a priority, as the threat it poses to both the region and international security persists. While this joint raid represents a major victory against the group, it serves as a reminder that the fight against terrorism requires ongoing vigilance and collaboration.
