Authorities in Ohio confirmed that Alexa Stakely, 29, was struck and killed by her own vehicle during the incident, while her son remained unharmed.

Stakely, who worked as a speech and language pathologist for a school district, had just finished her shift as a waitress and went to pick up her son from the babysitter's house around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday. After placing her sleeping child in her 2022 Honda SUV, which was parked just outside the babysitter's home, Stakely realized she needed an item from the babysitter and briefly entered the residence.
