In a stunning turn of events, Tifany Adams and three others have been arrested in connection to the Oklahoma killings of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley. Adams' former attorney, Stephen Jones, expressed his shock upon learning about her involvement in the heinous crimes.

Adams, 54, along with her boyfriend Tad Cullum, 43, as well as Cora Twombly, 44, and her husband Cole Twombly, 50, were arraigned on Wednesday for charges of kidnapping and first-degree murder of Butler, 27, and Kelley, 39. The two victims went missing on March 30 while on their way to collect Butler's children for a supervised visit. Tragically, their bodies were discovered by authorities on Sunday.

An escalating custody dispute between Butler and Adams is believed to have played a significant role in the killings. Jones revealed that the custody battle had been contentious since it began in 2019, with numerous temporary orders issued but no final decisions reached.

Describing Adams as a well-known figure in the community with a background in farming and ranching, Jones expressed surprise at her involvement but acknowledged the acrimonious nature of the custody battle. Adams had been taking care of Butler's children as their father, Wrangler Rickman, was in a rehabilitation facility at the time of the disappearance.

The sequence of events leading up to the tragic deaths of Butler and Kelley originated from issues surrounding temporary visitation rights, according to Jones. While he emphasized that there was no indication that Adams would resort to violence over the issue, he was unaware of her association with the anti-government religious group "God's Misfits."

Jones added that such groups were not uncommon in the area and cited a lack of trust in the government as a prevalent sentiment among them. If the allegations against Adams prove true, Jones described the murders as a gruesome ambush, reminiscent of something out of a gothic tale.

This shocking development has rocked the community, leaving many in disbelief. The investigation into the Oklahoma killings continues as authorities seek to unravel the motives behind these senseless acts of violence.
