**Putin Assures Ruble's Stability Amid Recent Decline**

Russian President Vladimir Putin has reassured that the exchange rate of the ruble is primarily stable, despite recent fluctuations. Speaking at a press conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, Putin emphasized that there is no cause for panic as the situation with the ruble remains under control.

In his remarks, Putin attributed the ruble’s recent volatility to a combination of budgetary payments and fluctuating oil prices. He stressed that while the dynamics are complex, both within Russia and in neighboring countries, the processes are managed and are unfolding as expected.

The Russian President also mentioned that measures to combat inflation are available and that raising the key interest rate is not the only option. However, he acknowledged that the final decisions on monetary policy are in the hands of the Central Bank.

The ruble has experienced a significant decline over the past week. As of Wednesday, November 27, the ruble’s exchange rate on the Forex market neared 115 against the dollar, with the euro exceeding 120 rubles. The following day, the Central Bank set the official rate at 108 rubles, a level that has not been seen since March 2022.
