In a recent court filing, prosecutors argued that actor Alec Baldwin was prone to outbursts on the set of the film "Rust," showing a lack of control over his emotions and little concern for those around him. The filing, a response to a motion from Baldwin's defense to dismiss his indictment for involuntary manslaughter, shed light on the actor's alleged behavior on set, highlighting concerns about safety compromises.

According to Variety, witnesses testified about Baldwin's outbursts, which reportedly included yelling and cursing, often seemingly out of nowhere. Prosecutor Kari Morrissey emphasized that it was this exact conduct that contributed to safety issues during the production of "Rust." The filing questioned Baldwin's ability to maintain a professional demeanor while on set.

Morrissey also addressed the defense's claim that the prop gun used in the incident was more likely to fire without the trigger being pulled, aligning with Baldwin's insistence that he did not pull the trigger. However, forensic examination determined that the trigger had to be pulled for the gun to discharge. These findings prompted Morrissey to offer Baldwin a misdemeanor plea deal after initially dropping the felony charge against him.

In the filing, Morrissey highlighted a meeting where Baldwin's attorneys presented a PowerPoint arguing against the manslaughter charge and threatened to call witnesses, including Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. However, it is now reported that Baldwin's legal team has no plans to summon these renowned actors as witnesses.

Moreover, Morrissey shared concerns about Baldwin's alleged attempts to influence material witnesses in the case. She accused Baldwin of pressuring witnesses through his involvement in a documentary about the deceased cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, whose accidental shooting triggered the ongoing legal proceedings.

Regarding the defense's attempt to delay the case, Morrissey accused Baldwin's attorneys of employing delaying tactics, leading her to rescind the plea deal and proceed with the felony charge. She stated that she had learned some tough lessons while dealing with Baldwin's legal team.

Alec Baldwin, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, is scheduled to stand trial in July. As the case continues, the details revealed in the filing shed light on the alleged volatile behavior witnessed on the set of "Rust" and raise questions about the overall safety measures implemented during the film's production.
