The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has released photos of the suspects believed to be responsible for the brutal murder of popular "General Hospital" star Johnny Wactor. The shocking incident occurred in May when Wactor, 37, and a co-worker were returning to their cars in the early hours of the morning after being asked to stay late at a rooftop bar where Wactor was bartending.
According to police, Wactor and his co-worker were confronted by three individuals who had raised his car with a floor jack and were in the process of stealing the catalytic converter. Tragically, in the midst of this confrontation, Wactor was shot and killed by one of the suspects.
Days following the devastating incident, Anita Joy, the co-worker who was with Wactor in his final moments, took to social media to share harrowing details of the events leading up to his untimely death. Joy described how they approached the thieves, initially thinking the car was being towed. She emphasized that they posed no threat and that Wactor remained calm, merely asserting that the car belonged to him and urging them to leave.
Heartbroken and angry, Joy recounted how Wactor, standing between her and the shooter, sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Despite the severity of his injuries, Wactor fought to stay alive, displaying immense courage in his final moments. Joy expressed her grief and called for justice to be served, stating, "My only peace will be seeing these awful men brought to justice."
Following Wactor's tragic death, friends and fellow co-workers have joined forces in calling on Los Angeles officials to take immediate action. The loss of a talented and beloved actor has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, leaving many mourning the life cut short in such a senseless act of violence.
The LAPD has now released photos of the suspects involved, as well as a community alert regarding the stolen vehicle they are believed to have used to flee the scene. The stolen vehicle is described as a 2018 black, four-door Infiniti Q50 with tan interior.
