### Police Investigation Leads to Landfill Search for Missing Olmos Park Mother
San Antonio - The police department of Olmos Park has divulged further details on their ongoing search for the missing mother, Suzanne Clark Simpson, currently focused on a landfill in southeast Bexar County. The reason behind this specific search location was provided by Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas, who mentioned that evidence, witness statements, and diligent police investigations led them to this site.
For the third consecutive day, officers have been scouring the landfill in hopes of uncovering clues or evidence regarding Suzanne Clark Simpson's whereabouts. The site has been kept confidential at the request of the investigators. Assisting in the search, 25 cadets from the San Antonio Police Department have joined forces with Olmos Park police, after a request for support by Police Chief William McManus.
Simpson, a realtor and mother of four residing in Olmos Park, was last seen on Sunday, October 6th. Shortly after her disappearance, her husband, Brad Simpson, was arrested on charges that were unrelated to her vanishing. Brad Simpson faces charges of assault causing bodily injury-family violence and unlawful restraint, and he is currently held in the Bexar County Jail on a $2 million bond.
The search operation, tied to a sealed search warrant, stems from an affidavit indicating that Brad Simpson reported his wife missing and outlined a troubling encounter witnessed by a neighbor on the night of her disappearance. The affidavit states that the couple was seen in a physical altercation, with the neighbor later hearing screams from a nearby brushy area.
Further queries by the police revealed additional information from the couple’s child, who mentioned witnessing a fight between her parents and her mother acquiring a bruise on her elbow. This critical piece of information added urgency and direction to ongoing investigations.
In the days following Suzanne’s disappearance, police and various agencies have meticulously searched several locations, including the couple's home and parts of Interstate 10. However, no significant evidence has been disclosed.
The Olmos Park Police Department has expressed their gratitude for the cooperation and assistance from other law enforcement bodies while continuing their dedicated efforts to locate Suzanne Clark Simpson.
