**Nick Chubb to Face Off Against Steelers in Return to Cleveland**

When the Cleveland Browns take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Thursday night, it will be more than just another game for running back Nick Chubb. A significant milestone looms as Chubb faces the team against which he experienced a devastating knee injury just 430 days ago.

For Chubb, the importance of this duel doesn't alter his approach. Despite the heightened emotions around the game, the veteran running back remains calm and composed. "It's just the same normal game for me, pushing the same way," Chubb told reporters. Reflecting his usual understated demeanor, Chubb adds, "Looking forward to going out there and playing against a great team."

Myles Garrett, Chubb’s longtime teammate, attests to Chubb’s unflappable nature leading up to the matchup. "He keeps that same calm and solemn demeanor," Garrett observed, noting that Chubb remains "cool as a cucumber."

Chubb’s last game against the Steelers in September 2022 ended in a serious knee injury after a collision with Minkah Fitzpatrick. This injury, which required procedures to mend Chubb's MCL, ACL, and meniscus, followed a previous series of knee injuries, making his road to recovery particularly arduous.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Chubb harbors no resentment towards Fitzpatrick and views the incident as a part of the game. "Talked to him on the field when it happened, that's about it," Chubb remarked.

After enduring such a challenging rehabilitation, Chubb showcased his resilience by making his 2024 season debut in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals, where he scored a touchdown. However, his performance this season has seen a noticeable dip, with Chubb averaging a career-low 3.1 yards per carry over four games. Yet, his commitment to improvement remains unwavering. "Since I've been here, I've always prided myself in going out there and no matter the circumstance, having a good game," Chubb stated.

Thursday’s game will be Chubb's 11th against the Steelers, a team against which he has historically had mixed success. Although he has only surpassed 100 rushing yards twice and scored two touchdowns in previous encounters, Chubb remains optimistic about his performance in the upcoming game.

One detail that does seem to excite Chubb is the forecast for Thursday. With temperatures expected to be in the 30s with potential snow showers, it's shaping up to be ideal running weather. "It should always be running weather," Chubb said with a grin.

Regardless of the weather or the opponent, Nick Chubb intends to give his all on the field. "It's gonna be a physical battle every year," Chubb concluded, solidifying his readiness to face the Steelers once again.
