Multiple Injured in Philadelphia Eid Shooting at Ramadan Celebration

Several individuals were shot and injured during an Eid event in West Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred near the 4700 block of Wyalusing Avenue, where attendees were gathered to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
According to sources from the police, multiple people were shot during the event. The exact number of victims has not been disclosed at this time. However, authorities have confirmed that several individuals have been arrested in connection with the shooting. Additionally, multiple firearms were recovered from the scene.
Eyewitnesses have reported the chaotic scene that ensued after the shots were fired. Abdallah Legh, the General Manager of Girard Meat Market, stated that he heard three or four gunshots. In the aftermath, numerous children sought refuge in his store, estimating that between a dozen to 20 or 30 youngsters sought shelter.
Legh described the panic that engulfed the area, with people running away from the sound of gunfire. His office, located a short distance from the shooting scene near the park area, allowed him to witness the aftermath in real-time.
Aerial footage captured by SKYFOX showed a heavy police presence at the scene as law enforcement officers worked diligently to secure the area. The investigation is still ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working to determine the motive behind the shooting and any potential additional suspects.
