Country music sensation Morgan Wallen has chosen to waive his right to appear in court after his arrest in Nashville back in April, according to his attorney Worrick Robinson. Wallen, known for hits like "Sand In My Boots," has opted to let Robinson represent him at the scheduled court hearing on Friday.

By waiving his right to appear, Wallen will not have to physically attend the court hearing, allowing him to focus on his upcoming three-day concert series at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, set to begin on Thursday night.

The arrest stemmed from an incident on April 7, where Wallen allegedly threw a chair off the rooftop of Chief's, a popular Broadway bar owned by fellow country artist, Eric Church. Witnesses recounted watching Wallen pick up a chair, toss it over the roof, and find amusement in his actions. The chair narrowly missed two officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department who were stationed below on Broadway.

Upon review of security footage and interviews with bar staff and witnesses, the police authorities confirmed the allegations, leading to Wallen's arrest. The incident has raised concerns about safety along Nashville's bustling Broadway, prompting officials to review measures to enhance security in the area.

Wallen has expressed remorse and taken responsibility for his behavior, stating, "I've touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief's. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility."

Following his arrest, Wallen was released from jail after posting a combined bond of $15,250. The upcoming court hearing is expected to provide further updates on the case. Robinson, Wallen's attorney, will provide details concerning the court's decision once the hearing concludes.

"The court has formally waived Morgan Wallen's appearance on Friday, May 3 as his presence is not required to advance the case," Robinson explained in a statement. "The Office of the District Attorney has been notified of the Appearance Waiver."

As Wallen's legal journey progresses, fans eagerly await his performances at Nissan Stadium, while the country star aims to move forward and make amends for his actions.
