Major League Baseball (MLB) has launched an investigation into comments made by Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora, suggesting that Red Sox pitcher Brayan Bello intentionally threw at New York Yankees star Aaron Judge during Saturday's game. According to the New York Post's Mark W. Sanchez, Bello threw a pitch behind Judge's legs in the sixth inning of the contest, leading to speculation and frustration from the Red Sox dugout.

The source of the Red Sox's frustration stemmed from an earlier incident in the game, when Yankees ace Gerrit Cole hit Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers in the first inning and intentionally walked him with no one on base in the fourth. Cora addressed the media after the game, expressing his belief that Cole intentionally hit Devers in the first at-bat and subsequently avoided facing him. Cora stated, "He doesn't want to face him. That's the bottom line. He told us with the intentional walk that the first at-bat he hit him."

In baseball, where players sometimes take matters into their own hands, fans quickly connected the dots between Cole's approach to Devers and Bello throwing behind Judge. The incident has raised questions about potential retaliation and the unwritten rules of the game.

Cora further added fuel to the fire by affirmatively responding to the suggestion that the matter was "closed" during the post-game press conference. This response only fueled speculation and heightened curiosity regarding the escalating tensions between the two teams.

In light of these statements, MLB has initiated an investigation to determine if Bello's pitch was intentional and if any disciplinary actions need to be taken. The league takes incidents of potentially dangerous pitches seriously and aims to maintain a level of safety and fairness in the game.

MLB will review available video footage, interview relevant players and personnel, and gather any additional evidence to make an informed decision. The outcome of the investigation will shed light on the incident and potentially lead to consequences for the individuals involved.

Both the Red Sox and Yankees organizations have been known for their fierce rivalry and intense competition over the years. However, it is crucial for such incidents to be thoroughly examined in order to preserve the integrity of the game and ensure the safety of the players.

As MLB proceeds with its investigation, baseball fans eagerly await the conclusion and hope for a resolution that will address any underlying tensions. The league will aim to enforce appropriate measures to discourage any instances of intentional throwing and maintain fair competition on the field.
