After a successful run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in downtown Manhattan, the hilarious comedy "Oh, Mary!" is making its way to Broadway. Written by and starring Cole Escola as Mary Todd Lincoln, the play will begin previews at the Lyceum Theatre on June 26, with the official opening night set for July 11. The limited engagement will run for 12 weeks, concluding on September 15.
"Oh, Mary!" delves into the life of Mary Todd Lincoln, the wife of President Abraham Lincoln, in the weeks leading up to the president's tragic assassination. The deranged comedy explores Mary's unfulfilled yearnings, battle with alcoholism, and suppressed desires, providing a fresh perspective on her forgotten dreams.
