She highlighted that neither Bennington's first wife nor their son were made aware of Linkin Park's decision to work with Armstrong. Despite promises made by members Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda to keep them informed, Eubanks claimed that she and her family learned about the band's activities, including the release of unreleased tracks featuring Bennington, from sources other than Linkin Park.

The acknowledgment of Emily Armstrong as the new vocalist for Linkin Park sparked further controversy, with Eubanks revealing past comments made by Mike Shinoda about possibly having a female singer in the band. Eubanks recounted a conversation where Bennington expressed disbelief and hurt over Shinoda's suggestion that he could be replaced by a female vocalist. Additionally, she defended Bennington's unique voice, emphasizing that his sound is irreplaceable. Eubanks echoed sentiments expressed by Bennington's eldest son, Jaime, who also voiced concerns about attempts to overshadow his father's legacy.
