**Deadly Shooting at Las Vegas Gym Leaves One Dead and Several Injured**

On Friday afternoon, violence erupted at the Las Vegas Athletic Club when a lone gunman opened fire, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries, according to local police.

The suspect entered the gym carrying a rifle, specifically targeting an individual inside. Upon locating the intended victim, the gunman fatally shot the person, as reported by law enforcement officials briefed on the matter. Authorities believe they have captured most of the incident on security footage, which is currently under review.

Undersheriff Andrew Walsh addressed the public during a press conference, noting that officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the gym following reports of an armed person discharging a weapon inside the facility. Upon arrival, the officers engaged with the suspect, leading to an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the suspect being shot and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
