In a shocking turn of events, music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs and his son Christian "King" Combs are facing a lawsuit that alleges sexual assault and misconduct onboard a yacht in December 2022. Filed by 25-year-old Grace O'Marcaigh, the lawsuit accuses Christian Combs of assault, battery, sexual assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, while Sean Combs is accused of aiding and abetting.
The 31-page complaint, first reported by Rolling Stone, provides details about the events that unfolded during a family trip to St Martin. what was initially marketed as a "wholesome family excursion" quickly transformed into a disturbing and "hedonistic environment," with the presence of suspected sex workers and other celebrities on board the yacht.
According to O'Marcaigh, who worked as a bartender and the sole onboard steward, she was pressured by Christian Combs to consume a spiked shot of tequila, preventing her from leaving, and then allegedly forcing her to engage in sexual activity. The lawsuit also alleges that a video capturing Christian Combs groping and kissing O'Marcaigh was filmed by music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones.
The complaint further claims that O'Marcaigh reported the incident to the boat's captain, but no investigation took place. O'Marcaigh believes that Sean Combs paid the captain to keep the incident under wraps. Since the alleged assault, O'Marcaigh has suffered from severe emotional distress, anxiety, panic attacks, and suicidal thoughts.
This lawsuit adds to the growing list of legal troubles for Sean Combs. Last year, he settled a lawsuit with his ex-partner Cassie, following her allegations of years of abuse, rape, and sex trafficking. Additionally, Combs and two other individuals were accused in a separate lawsuit of gang rape in 2003.
Most recently, in March, Combs's properties were raided by federal authorities as part of an ongoing sex-trafficking investigation. Both Christian and his brother Justin were detained during the raid but later released.
Sean Combs has consistently denied all allegations and vowed to fight for his name and family. His attorney, Aaron Dyer, dismissed the latest lawsuit as "lewd and meritless," though O'Marcaigh's lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, is known for bringing similar cases to garner media attention.
As the legal battles continue, the music mogul's career has already taken hits. Combs resigned as the chair of Revolt, the media company he co-launched, and his reality show on Hulu was cancelled.
As O'Marcaigh seeks unspecified damages, the lawsuit serves as a grim reminder of the serious allegations plaguing the Combs family and the ongoing fight for justice and accountability.
