### Kremlin Confident U.S. Acknowledges Putin's Warning Following Missile Strike on Ukraine
The Kremlin expressed confidence on Friday that the United States understood the implications of President Vladimir Putin's recent warning, which followed a Russian missile attack on Ukraine. The missile used in the attack is capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
"We are certain that the present administration in Washington has taken note of this declaration and comprehended its significance," stated Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, referencing President Putin's remarks made on Thursday. In those comments, Putin characterized the conflict in Ukraine as having global dimensions and implied that strikes on Western nations could be a possibility.
Peskov emphasized that Putin's message was "comprehensive, clear, and logical." This statement comes amid escalated hostilities, marked by Ukraine’s recent use of U.S.- and U.K.-supplied missiles to strike Russian territory for the first time. Moscow has accused Western nations of direct involvement in the conflict due to their authorization and supply of these missiles.
"The crux of the message is that the irresponsible decisions and actions of Western countries—those that manufacture missiles, supply them to Ukraine, and thereby participate in attacks on Russian territory—cannot go unanswered," Peskov elaborated.
The conflict in Ukraine, nearing its three-year mark, has intensified sharply, with both Russia and Ukraine accusing one another of significant provocations. Tensions have reached a peak, making international diplomatic relations and military engagements increasingly precarious.
