In a shocking turn of events, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and SMU football player Teddy Knox have been implicated in a devastating six-car crash on a Texas highway. According to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by The Dallas Morning News, Rice and Knox were allegedly driving at extremely high speeds just seconds before the collision occurred.

The affidavit reveals that a Lamborghini Urus, believed to be driven by Rice, was traveling at an alarming speed of 119 mph, 4.5 seconds prior to the March 30 crash. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Corvette, allegedly driven by Knox, was recorded at 116 mph, 7.5 seconds before impact. However, the Corvette had reportedly slowed down to 91 mph just seconds before the collision took place.

Rashee Rice, 23, turned himself in to the Glenn Heights Police Department on Thursday. He was later booked into the Regional Jail in DeSoto before being released the same day. Rice is now facing several charges, including one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.

The affidavit points out that both drivers took evasive action, which endangered the lives of multiple individuals on the road. Shockingly, Rice and Knox allegedly left the scene without providing their information or checking if anyone required medical attention, as reported by the authorities. However, the passengers in the vehicles who left the scene will reportedly not face any charges.

Various individuals were injured in the crash, with injuries ranging from head, neck, and back injuries. One driver sustained a serious bodily injury, as stated in the affidavit.

Last week, Rice took to social media to issue an apology, acknowledging his responsibility in the matter and promising to cooperate fully with the authorities. He expressed remorse, stating, "I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday's accident."

The repercussions of this incident are likely to have serious consequences for both Rice and Knox's future in their respective sports. The Kansas City Chiefs and SMU football program have not yet released official statements regarding the matter.

The investigation into the crash continues, as law enforcement officials work to gather further evidence and determine the full extent of the damage caused by the recklessness of the two athletes.
