**Justin Tucker Faces Unprecedented Slump, Ravens Remain Confident**

Justin Tucker, known for redefining success in NFL kicking with his accuracy and clutch performances, is currently battling to maintain his elite status. In a surprising turn, Tucker's missed field goals were a significant factor in the Baltimore Ravens' 18-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, marking a notable downturn in his career.

Despite these struggles, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has expressed unwavering confidence in Tucker's ability to rebound. "The best option right now is to get Justin back on point because he is fully capable of doing it," Harbaugh emphasized. "We certainly haven't lost any confidence in Justin Tucker."

A Pro Bowl participant seven times, Tucker missed from 47 and 50 yards during the last game but managed to score a 54-yard field goal. His current conversion rate has dipped to a career-low of 72.7% over 11 games this season, a stark contrast to his past performances. This season, he has missed six field goals, already surpassing his total misses from the previous year and nearing his career-high of seven misses set in 2015.

"He's going to get it figured out," Harbaugh asserted. "We have coaches, we have technique. We look at the tape and he's practicing well. He's got to kick it straight."

Tucker's inconsistency has been particularly noticeable in the Ravens' losses. He missed a 56-yard field goal in a narrow three-point defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2 and faltered twice in the recent game against the Steelers. Sunday's game, where Tucker missed multiple kicks for only the sixth time in his 206-game career, has left many fans concerned.

Currently second in career field goal success rate at 89.3%, Tucker has been surpassed by Carolina Panthers' kicker Eddy Pineiro, who holds an 89.4% success rate. Nevertheless, Tucker remains determined. "I'm still confident I'm going to go out there and nail every single kick," he stated post-game. "Part of the way we stay confident is by continuing to work and trust the process."

At 35 years old, the Ravens do not consider Tucker's age as a factor in his performance decline. Notably, none of his missed kicks have come short; they have all veered left. There has also been a significant change in the kicking team dynamics since punter Sam Koch, widely regarded as the best holder, retired last year, handing the reins to Jordan Stout.

Still, Harbaugh believes the hold and setup mechanics aren't the issue. "They work together," he noted. "I think when things go well, Justin credits those guys really well. I think they all take responsibility for every good thing and for everything that doesn't go well."

Despite current challenges, Tucker holds the record for the longest field goal in NFL history, a 66-yarder that clinched a win in Detroit three years ago. In the final two minutes of regulation, he boasts a 28-of-31 record and remains a perfect 6-for-6 in overtime. Steelers kicker Chris Boswell perhaps summed it up best by calling Tucker "a legend" and "a future Hall of Famer."
