**Jeffrey Epstein’s Investment in Peter Thiel's Firm Now Worth $170 Million**

Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious financier and convicted sex offender, invested $40 million into Valar Ventures, an investment firm co-founded by Peter Thiel, the Silicon Valley entrepreneur. Recent financial analysis reveals that this investment has grown to nearly $170 million. This notable sum forms the largest remaining asset of Epstein's estate, which has come under scrutiny following his death.

Epstein's involvement with Valar Ventures began in 2015 and 2016, entrusting significant capital to a firm focused on nurturing startup companies in the financial services technology sector. Valar Ventures, based in New York, had remained tight-lipped about Epstein's contributions until these revelations came to light.

Despite the considerable growth of this investment, its impact on Epstein’s numerous victims is likely to be minimal. Many of the approximately 200 victims who suffered abuse from Epstein during their youth have already received settlements from his estate. These settlements required them to forfeit any future claims against the estate or its associates, limiting their access to further compensation.

The funds from this lucrative investment are more likely to benefit a former girlfriend of Epstein and two of his longtime advisers, who are designated as beneficiaries of his estate. Epstein's death in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex-trafficking charges has left many financial intricacies and ethical questions surrounding his estate unresolved.
