**Institutional Confidence in Bitcoin Grows Despite Price Fluctuations**

Corporate titans like MicroStrategy and Trump Media are reinforcing their confidence in Bitcoin despite a recent price downturn. Currently, Bitcoin (BTC) is priced around $103,984, reflecting a 1.64% decrease over the past 24 hours. However, institutional interest remains robust and unshaken.

Recent data indicates a significant rise in the number of large Open Interest holders in CME Bitcoin Futures, reaching a record 217 by the end of May. This marks a 36% increase from early 2024, illustrating a transition from mere reactive trading to strategic, long-term Bitcoin accumulation by these major players. This trend underscores growing confidence in Bitcoin as a safeguard against escalating economic and geopolitical uncertainties, particularly amid the ongoing debate around trade policies associated with former President Donald Trump.

Bitcoin is experiencing a wider wave of corporate adoption. For instance, under Michael Saylor's leadership, MicroStrategy recently added 705 BTC to its holdings, investing around $75.1 million. This acquisition brings their total Bitcoin holdings to an impressive 580,955 BTC. Similarly, Metaplanet has adopted a comparable strategy.

Furthermore, GameStop has increased its Bitcoin reserves by adding 4,710 BTC to its portfolio. Additionally, Trump Media has raised a substantial $2.32 billion through a private round specifically aimed at future Bitcoin purchases. This move is considered one of the largest corporate commitments to Bitcoin to date.

The strategic accumulation of Bitcoin by these corporations appears closely linked to heightened global trade tensions and uncertainties regarding U.S. policy directions. This, combined with strong ETF inflows, marks a significant shift in Bitcoin’s perception—not just as a high-risk speculative asset, but as an integral part of institutional investment portfolios.

The increase in long-term Bitcoin holdings by major entities points to a strategic pivot, suggesting that these corporations view Bitcoin as a structural allocation rather than just a fleeting trade. As Bitcoin edges towards new milestones, the discourse shifts from short-term gains to its broader geopolitical significance.
