In a shocking revelation, the Coalition Council of Islamic Revolution Forces (SHANA), an organization closely linked to Iran's Supreme Leader, has praised the late Iranian general Mohammad Reza Zahedi for his strategic involvement in the mass murder of 1,200 people in southern Israel. The statement by SHANA represents a clear admission of Iran's complicity in the brutal atrocities committed by the terror group Hamas during "Operation Al-Aqsa Storm".
According to Iranian dissident news organization Iran International, Zahedi played a crucial role in forming and strengthening the resistance front, as well as being directly responsible for the planning and execution of the heinous act. During the invasion of Israel by Hamas on October 7, over 1,200 innocent civilians were mercilessly slaughtered, and an additional 250 were held hostage.
The recent revelation adds fuel to Israeli war planners, counter-terrorism experts, and policy makers, who have long suspected Iran's involvement in the massacre. Previously, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, denied any explicit participation by Iran in the horrific event. However, with this new information about Zahedi's role, questions are being raised about a possible response to Iran's complicity in the massacre and subsequent aerial attacks on Israel.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that the clerical regime in Iran had advance knowledge about the October 7 invasion. Furthermore, it has been revealed that the regime actively celebrated the mass murder, organizing street celebrations and displaying banners glorifying the invasion on the same day as the massacre.
Zahedi's death, along with six other Iranian regime officials, came as a result of an airstrike carried out by Israel on April 1, targeting Iran's consulate in Damascus. The US-based Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) echoed the analysis by Iran International, stating that this admission by a senior Iranian regime figure substantiates Iran's involvement in the planning and execution of the October 7 attack.
The statement from SHANA reflects the influence of Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and head of the Coalition Council of Islamic Revolution Forces. Haddad-Adel, who is also a member of the Expediency Council and a former Majlis speaker, is the father-in-law of Khamenei's son, Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
As international attention focuses on Iran's role in the mass murder and its subsequent actions, Israeli officials, counter-terrorism experts, and policy makers are likely to consider appropriate responses and measures to address Iran's complicity in these horrific acts.
