**Ukraine and Russia Engage in Intense Drone and Missile Strikes**

Overnight, Ukraine launched significant strikes deep within Russian territory, targeting a major military explosives manufacturer and storage infrastructure at a military airfield in the Lipetsk region, according to a statement from Kyiv's General Staff. Russia's Ministry of Defence countered that Russian air defense units intercepted 110 Ukrainian drones across the nation on Sunday. Among these, one was downed over the Moscow region, 43 in the border region of Kursk, and 27 in the southwestern Lipetsk region.

The SHOT Telegram channel reported that drones attempted to strike the Ya. M. Sverdlov State-Owned Enterprise in Dzerzhinsk, situated in the Nizhny Novgorod region, about 400 kilometers east of Moscow. This explosives facility is notable as one of the largest manufacturers of military explosives in Russia and has been sanctioned by the United States and European Union.

The Ukrainian General Staff shared on Telegram that the Sverdlov factory was producing chemical components for artillery and aerial bombs, and it is currently assessing the damage of its attack. Additionally, a drone attack reportedly ignited a fire at a military airfield in the Lipetsk region, resulting in significant explosions and the observation of white smoke near the Sverdlov plant, as reported by the SHOT Telegram channel.

Details on casualties remain unclear, though the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region indicated that four firefighters were slightly injured by shrapnel in an industrial zone drone attack, without specifying the exact target. The Russian Defence Ministry also confirmed the destruction of eight Ukrainian drones over Nizhny Novgorod. In Moscow, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted that debris fell in the Ramensky district but caused no damage or injuries.

Simultaneously, in Ukraine's Kryvyi Rih, two Russian ballistic missiles resulted in 17 injuries on Saturday evening. The strikes impacted homes and businesses, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the local administration. Ukraine's air force reported that Russia had launched 49 drones and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles overnight, with 31 drones shot down across 12 regions, including Kyiv. Thirteen additional drones were believed to have been neutralized by electronic defenses, given their disappearance from radar.

Ukraine maintains that its air attacks are aimed at key Russian war infrastructure and are retaliatory measures in response to ongoing Russian air strikes.
