In a tragic incident that shook the city of Dallas, a 30-year-old man, identified as Corey Cobb, has been accused of fatally shooting a police officer and injuring two others on Thursday night. Reports indicate that Cobb, who used to work as a truck driver, had recently exhibited alarming behavior on social media, sharing apocalyptic and pseudo-religious rants.

According to his father, Emery Cobb, Corey resided in a guest house located behind his parents' home on Hortense Avenue in southern Dallas. The residence is about a mile away from the site where three Dallas officers were shot shortly after 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Emery Cobb stated that police arrived at his doorstep around 2 a.m. on Friday, armed with a search warrant to scour the premises. They confiscated some of Corey's computer equipment and magazines from his gun, indicating their interest in understanding his motives and state of mind.

As per Emery, his son had started acting strangely in recent days, frequently talking about demons and claiming to be followed by the police. Emery suspects that Corey may have consumed a substance laced with something dangerous, as his behavior had never been like this before.

Emery emphasized that Corey was a loving son and that he had raised him with religious values, attending church and adhering to a healthy diet. However, Corey had lost his job as a trucker in the past couple of weeks, a setback that might have taken a toll on him emotionally.

Disturbingly, Corey Cobb's social media activity in the days preceding the shooting had become increasingly erratic. On August 29, he posted a nighttime video showing what appeared to be a drone in the sky, narrating the footage with unsettling commentary about "devils" who "know who we are."

One day before the shooting, Corey shared a video while driving, alleging that "demons" in a black SUV were tailing him in traffic. He also posted biblical scriptures from the book of Revelations, referencing people being "cast into the furnace of fire."

Most chilling of all was a video posted by Corey on Tuesday, in which he approached officers from an unidentified police department in an unmarked white SUV. After briefly engaging with the officers, Corey left the scene calmly.

Additional social media posts included Corey confronting an intoxicated man off-camera and brandishing firearms, referring to them as his "home defense arsenal." He also shared a clip of former President Donald Trump's address at the Texas-Mexico border, criticizing the current administration's immigration policy.

The sequence of events leading up to the shooting serves as a stark reminder of the importance of monitoring online activities and mental well-being. The tragedy has left the Dallas community mourning the loss of a dedicated officer and praying for the swift recovery of the injured.

As investigations into the incident continue, questions remain about the potential motivations behind Corey Cobb's actions and whether any warning signs were missed. Authorities will undoubtedly delve further into his social media presence and personal history to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
