Florida Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill Trump and Vance on Social Media

Florida man, Michael W. Wiseman, has been arrested by Jupiter Police for allegedly making threats against former President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. JD Vance, and their families on social media. Wiseman is facing charges of written threats to kill.

According to a news release by the Jupiter Police Department, detectives discovered multiple written threats made by Wiseman on Facebook targeting both Trump and Vance. The threats also extended to members of their families, with mentions of bodily harm.

Concerned citizens reported the threatening posts to local authorities, both in person and online. Jupiter, a city approximately 20 miles north of Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, became the center of the investigation.

The arrest of Wiseman was conducted without incident, and he was subsequently taken into custody by Jupiter police. He is currently being held at Palm Beach County Jail. As of now, it is unclear if Wiseman has legal representation to comment on his behalf.

This investigation was carried out in coordination with the U.S. Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office. The seriousness of the threats prompted close attention from federal and local authorities.

This incident comes in the wake of another incident in Florida earlier this week, where a man in a mental health facility in Tallahassee allegedly made death threats against President Joe Biden and other federal officials through social media posts.

The arrest of Wiseman serves as a reminder of the potential consequences for those who make threats against public figures and their families online. Law enforcement agencies are actively monitoring such activities and urging citizens to report any suspicious behavior promptly.

The threat of violence on social media has become a growing concern in today's increasingly digital world. Authorities continue to stress the importance of responsible online behavior and the repercussions that may follow when individuals cross the line into making threats or engaging in harmful actions.
