**Vice President Vance Stays Silent on Elon Musk Amid Trump Dispute**

Vice President JD Vance has continued to show unwavering support for President Donald Trump during the president's very public altercation with Elon Musk. Despite the tension, Vance has refrained from directly addressing or criticizing the Tesla billionaire.

The controversy began on Thursday, prompting an initial but brief response from Vance on social media platform X. "President Trump has done more than anyone in my lifetime to earn the trust of the movement he leads. I am proud to stand beside him," Vance posted.

On Friday morning, Vance's focus shifted to addressing the news media, yet he still did not comment on Musk's allegations. "There are many lies the corporate media tells about President Trump. One of the most glaring is that he's impulsive or short-tempered. Anyone who has seen him operate under pressure knows that's ridiculous," Vance stated on X. It's noteworthy that Musk hadn't made any comments about Trump being impulsive or short-tempered.

Musk, who had previously endorsed Vance as a potential running mate for Trump in the 2024 election, expressed his frustration with Trump’s recent criticisms of his policies. Their disagreement escalated on Thursday when Trump labeled Musk a disappointment, prompting Musk to launch a critical tirade on X. Among Musk's accusations were claims that Trump would have lost the upcoming 2024 election without his support and a controversial insinuation linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein’s investigation.

Adding fuel to the fire, Musk agreed with a user calling for Trump’s impeachment and suggested Vance as a replacement, a proposal that Vance has yet to address. Meanwhile, Trump called Musk "CRAZY" on his own conservative social media platform and suggested the possibility of terminating Musk's government contracts.

Speaking with ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jon Karl on Friday, President Trump remarked that Musk had "lost his mind" and expressed a disinterest in discussing the issue with him for the time being.
