In a shocking turn of events, Prince King, the 81-year-old man who was arrested last week for allegedly terrorizing his neighbors with a slingshot, has died shortly after being released from jail. King, who had been charged with seven counts of vandalism, pleaded not guilty during a court appearance on Tuesday. His death comes as a surprise, raising questions about his health and the circumstances surrounding his release.

Before his demise, King was released on his own recognizance, without having to pay bail, following the court hearing. The judge ordered him to stay 200 yards away from his home in Azusa, California, and prohibited any contact with the alleged victims. Moreover, he was explicitly instructed not to possess any deadly weapons, including a slingshot.

According to the Azusa Police Department, King had supposedly used metal ball bearings to cause damage to his neighbors' windows and car windshields. The police had been investigating the incidents for several years before finally identifying King as the suspect. Ball bearings and a slingshot were discovered during a search conducted at his residence.

The motive behind King's actions remains unclear. Police Lieutenant Jake Bushey stated that the ongoing crimes appeared to be acts of malicious mischief, but further investigation into a potential motive is still underway.

During the court hearing, King's attorneys revealed that he suffered from multiple medical ailments, indicating potential health complications that may have contributed to his sudden passing. Reports suggest that he left jail briefly to collect necessary medications before his death.

King was scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on June 17, but his passing has now left the legal proceedings in uncertainty. Authorities will need to reevaluate the circumstances, taking into account his death and the impact it may have on the case.

The community of Azusa is left in shock and confusion following the death of Prince King. As the investigation unfolds, questions about the nature of the alleged crimes and the underlying motive will continue to be scrutinized.
