**Clemson Head Coach Faces Voting Dilemma Due to Polling Station Error**
Clemson Tigers head football coach Dabo Swinney encountered an unexpected hurdle while trying to cast his vote in the 2024 presidential election. On Tuesday, Swinney was turned away from his local polling station due to a clerical error that had already recorded his vote.
Election officials informed Swinney that his vote had been registered, leaving him perplexed. It was later discovered that the mix-up stemmed from his son, Will Swinney, who shares the same first name, William. Will’s early vote had been incorrectly attributed to his father, effectively barring Dabo from voting.
To rectify the situation, a court hearing has been scheduled for Friday. This legal proceeding aims to ensure both Dabo Swinney and Will Swinney’s votes are accurately counted. Meanwhile, Dabo will also be busy preparing for the Clemson team's upcoming game against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., which adds to his packed schedule.
Swinney described his experience saying, he arrived at the polling station only to be the sole individual there and was informed he could not vote. This incident, now requiring legal intervention, has added an unexpected item to Swinney's already demanding agenda.
