In a daring act caught on video, a group of bystanders at the Tanger Outlets in Nashville's Antioch neighborhood attempted to trap four alleged burglars inside a Perfumania store until the police could arrive. The incident, which was recorded by shoppers and widely shared on social media, unfolded as the suspects, wearing hoodies and medical face masks, found themselves stuck inside the store.

The video footage shows the alleged burglars desperately trying to break free. Initially, they attempted to smash open the back door using a stepladder as their weapon of choice. However, their efforts proved futile, prompting them to resort to another method. In a startling turn of events, the suspects began breaking open the wall adjacent to the back door using the very same stepladder.

Meanwhile, outside the store, the determined bystanders worked together to hold the front door shut, effectively trapping the alleged burglars inside until assistance arrived. They demonstrated unwavering resolve and selflessness, as they waited for the Metro Nashville Police to reach the scene, which reportedly took approximately 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, by the time the authorities arrived, the suspects had already managed to escape through the back of the store. Witnesses recounted a chaotic scene, with the alleged burglars wreaking havoc inside the Perfumania store. According to one witness named Preston, the suspects were seen attempting to access the cash register, breaking glass, and pillaging the shelves for expensive cologne.

Preston also mentioned that mall security informed him that after fleeing from the store through the back, the suspects jumped over a fence and made their way towards Interstate 24, leaving frustrated residents in the area expressing their dismay. The frequency of such incidents has left the community feeling concerned and upset.
