### Joe Brady Takes Responsibility for Bills' Defeat Against Ravens

In a candid Zoom session on Monday, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady was unreserved in accepting blame for his team's 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Reflecting on the disheartening performance, Brady asserted that the fault lay with his play-calling rather than the game plan itself.

Brady acknowledged his missteps, saying, "I don't think we had a bad game plan, I think the game was called bad." His willingness to take responsibility is commendable, though it's clear the defeat was a collective failure encompassing offense, defense, and special teams.

One of the most criticized moments of the game came in the third quarter when Brady called for a trick play. At a crucial juncture, with the Bills down 21-10 but showing signs of recovery, the ill-fated play unfolded disastrously. Curtis Samuel took a shotgun snap and handed off to Josh Allen, who was expected to pass downfield. Baltimore's Kyle Van Noy disrupted the play, leading to a fumble recovered by Kyle Hamilton. Shortly afterward, the Ravens extended their lead, essentially ending the contest.

Brady did not shy away from the debacle, admitting, "It was a pretty bad play call. There is no other way to sum that up. Ultimately it cost us a football game." Such admissions, while noble, don't fully encapsulate the broader issues that plagued the team. Defensive lapses and special teams errors were also pivotal in the loss.

Head coach Sean McDermott echoed Brady's sentiments about the ill-timed play, stating, "We talked about it after the game, we talked about it again today... Felt like we had some momentum there at that point in the game and we were doing a fairly decent job at that point, at least in the second half, of moving the football."

Despite Brady's admission, it's unlikely that the outcome would have been different even if the disastrous play had succeeded. The defense's lackluster performance made a comeback improbable.

Reflecting on his role in the loss, Brady remarked, "Not even as a bad play call just because of the result of the play, but I try to pride myself on the feel and flow of the game and how things are going." He admitted it was simply bad timing and that he needed a better grasp of the situation. "Just a poor play call and ultimately cost us a football game because we had an opportunity to cut it to a one-score game," he conceded.

Joe Brady's acknowledgment of his errors is a step toward growth, but the Buffalo Bills will need to address their broader issues across all phases of the game to avoid similar outcomes in the future.
