In a recent virtual event called "Comics For Kamala," renowned actor Ben Stiller expressed his full endorsement for Kamala Harris in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Joined by other celebrities including Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, and Whoopi Goldberg, the stars gathered to show their support for Harris in her battle against Donald Trump for the White House.

Stiller made his entrance into the Zoom call halfway through the 3-hour-plus conversation, announcing his intention to match the $150,000 donation made by host Paul Mercurio to the Democratic nominee. Pleased with Harris' candidacy, Stiller spoke about his excitement over the prospect of her defeating Trump and urged everyone to rally behind her.

Describing Kamala as a "decent person" committed to democracy, Stiller highlighted her qualities of empathy and humor. He also praised her for energizing young voters who were previously disengaged from the political process.

However, the actor's remarks took an unexpected turn when he shifted the discussion towards race. Stiller referred to Kamala as a historic Black and Indian candidate who embodies a multitude of identities in a single individual. In an attempt at humor, he made a peculiar remark, stating, "I'm Jewish and Irish... I wish I were black, every white Jewish guy wishes he was Black." Although it was meant as a joke, some found the comment peculiar.

Nonetheless, Stiller emphasized the importance of voting for Kamala and urged people to head to the polls. He encouraged viewers to recognize the significance of a candidate who cares deeply about democracy and who has managed to galvanize previously disengaged young voters.

Stiller's show of support for Kamala Harris, along with the involvement of other prominent celebrities, signals a growing momentum behind her campaign. As the 2024 presidential election approaches, the race between Harris and Trump continues to draw attention from both the public and influential figures alike.
