**"Home Improvement" Star Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested Again for DUI in Oklahoma**
Actor Zachery Ty Bryan, best known for his role on the sitcom "Home Improvement," has found himself in legal trouble once more. The 43-year-old was arrested in Custer County, Oklahoma, on suspicion of driving under the influence, marking his second felony offense for DUI. Bryan was booked at 8:34 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.
The incident in Oklahoma isn't Bryan's first run-in with the law this year. Earlier, he was apprehended by police in La Quinta, California, near his residence. According to Sergeant Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez, deputies stopped him at Washington Street and Calle Tampico after suspecting his vehicle was involved in a recent traffic collision. Upon interaction, officers noted signs of impairment, leading to his arrest for DUI with prior offenses. Bryan, who was 42 at the time, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and a misdemeanor for contempt of court. He was subsequently booked into the Riverside County jail and released on $50,000 bail.
In July 2023, Bryan faced additional legal challenges when authorities responded to a report of a physical altercation between him and an unnamed woman. He was charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault but later struck a plea deal. Bryan pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault constituting domestic violence, resulting in just seven days of jail time rather than the 19-20 months recommended by the Oregon Department of Corrections.
Bryan's tumultuous history with the law extends back to 2020 when he pleaded guilty to charges stemming from an altercation with his then-girlfriend, Johnnie Faye Cartwright. During this incident, Bryan allegedly attempted to strangle Cartwright in their Eugene, Oregon apartment.
The recent arrests add to a growing list of legal troubles for the former child actor, casting a long shadow over his career and life post-"Home Improvement."
